Attention: Mr. Gary Pluim
Executive Director
Dear Mr. Pluim,
I am writing
to you on behalf of the grade three class at my school, Miss Egar's
and Miss Cramp's School ("ECS").
We really appreciated your visit to our school to explain the importance
of providing clean water to communities in Africa so that the people
who live there can thrive.
I am proud to say that the grade three class held a rummage sale
on May 26, 2004 , and we raised $478.09 for WaterCan. We attach a
cheque for that amount. It was a fun experience for all of us to
work together as a team to raise money for a great cause!
Sincerely,
Rebecca T. and
the rest of the grade three class at "ECS"

WaterCan believes that by teaching children about the importance
of water as a precious resource in Canada and around the world,
they will become informed and involved global citizens. To this
end, WaterCan has developed the H2Oh! Learning Series/ Modules D'Apprentissage.
H2Oh! is a bilingual
internet-based teaching resource created by teachers for teachers
to educate their students about the importance of water, and the
urgent need to manage this greatest natural resource. To enter
