Deo Binamungu

Deo is a socio-economist with expertise in the areas of institutional capacity building, rural social development, and human resources development. He has worked as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Journalism Department at the Nyegezi Social Training Institute (now St. Augustine University of Tanzania) in Mwanza, and as a Human Resources Development specialist for large rural water and sanitation programs in the Lake Victoria and Shinyanga regions of Tanzania.
As a development consultant, Deo has provided professional advisory services to organizations working in the water and sanitation sector in Tanzania including the Netherlands Government, UNICEF, World Bank, and Ministry of Water. Deo is a Tanzanian national and holds a M.A. in Rural Social Development from Reading University, UK.
