INSPIRATION
Quick Links:
Water is truly amazing! It is used for many different purposes and may be thought of in many different ways. For example, water makes food production possible, allows us to build cars and machinery, helps us stay healthy, helps us relax, gives us life and so much more.
The following are just a few examples which may help you get inspired to start snapping photos! Water may be thought of as:
A Natural Resource
Canada has a huge amount of fresh water compared to many countries all over the world. It is one of Canada’s greatest natural resources. With the large abundance, water is often taken for granted, overused and in some cases abused. In order to protect this natural resource, water should be conserved. Conserving water has many benefits for the population and the country! Check out the following link for more information on water conservation: Natural Resources Canada
A Thing of Beauty
Water is seen as something beautiful, truly amazing and greatly appreciated. Water can be observed from a distance and appreciated without even being touched. Many photographers use the beauty of water for photographs and many other pieces of work.
A Necessity for Life and Health
Without water, life on Earth would not exist. Earth is the only known planet that has water on it. From the day we are born until we grow old, water is necessary to keep us healthy and alive.
A Significant Religious Entity
Water plays a large role in many religions. It is seen as pure and has the potential to cleanse, give life and heal. The following link shows the significance of water in many different religions.

A Global Issue
Water is a global issue. Everyone in the world is connected by water through the fact that water is a basic human necessity. Some countries, such as Canada, have a large amount of fresh water, while less fortunate countries have very little or none. Around the world, nearly 1 billion people lack access to clean drinking water, causing serious problems. A Debatable Hot Topic
In recent years there have been major public and political water-related debates taking place around the world. Questions like: "Is water a human right?", "Should water resources be privatized?", "Who is responsible for water contamination in international waterways?" and "What are the social and environmental implications of bottled water?" have been asked by many.
