To me, this photograph of my friend, quenching her thirst after a big race, captures the importance of water’s health benefits.
Drinking plenty of water is necessary not only for athletes, but for everyone! Its health benefits are felt by the youngest to the oldest. Let's face it, without the miracle of water life on earth wouldn't exist. Period.
Some of the many benefits of drinking plenty of water include regulating our body temperatures, flushing toxins and waste from our bodies, carrying nutrients and oxygen to cells and much more.
Without sufficient clean water to drink we become dehydrated, which causes our bodily functions to slow down and may case other serious health problems.
So, I say "cheers" to drinking lots of water and staying healthy. Water may be the most common substance on earth, but in my books, it's as precious as gold.
