For the third year in a row, Quarterway School has raised money for people
in Africa. This year, the students raised $1346.44 in ten days, starting with
an assembly and launch and ending with celebrating Africa Day. It was a great
learning experience for the kids. They really got involved, and even the little
ones would bring their coins; "for the kids in Africa" a lot of them
would say. On African Well Day everyone was asked to dress in "African" style.
The teachers found it amazing how parents got into it as well. This donation
certainly did come from big hearts - the children, the parents, and the teachers!

emergency aid. After a lot of research, they decided on WaterCan. Fundraising
efforts included selling refreshments at the school play, a charity 'Hat Day'
and a charity basketball tournament. The Dance Committee even donated some
of the proceeds from the school's dances.
