Foundations

WaterCan frequently receives contributions from foundations.  A foundation is a philanthropic or charitable organization set up by individuals or institutions as a legal entity (a corporation or trust) with the purpose of distributing grants to support causes in line with the goals of the foundation or as a charitable entity that receives grants in order to support a specific activity or activities of charitable purpose.

Please note that certain foundations wish their contributions to remain confidential.  As a result, this list is not exhaustive.  Secondly, the following alphabetical list of foundation supporters is only reflective of contributions received since January 2007. 

Lundin for Africa Foundation

The Lundin For Africa Foundation is a non-profit organization with the goal of improving the lives of Africans in need. We intend to reach this goal through the implementation of community development projects including, among other project types, the provision of fresh water and programs that create a sustainable future for children. LFA is currently involved in eleven projects in over six countries across sub-Saharan Africa.
