The United Nations has declared 2005-2015 the International Decade for Action: “Water for Life”.
The goal of this Decade is to place a spotlight on global water issues with the aim of pressuring governments to stay true to their Millennium Development Goal pledge to reduce by half the proportion of people without sustainable access to safe water.
On World Water Day 2005, WaterCan launched Water for Life, our first national education and advocacy campaign, which will remain active until 2015.
